STEVE KEITH & THE LOST RIVER @ 1812 BREWERY !
Steve Keith and his band of merry mischief makers are back !
Steve has played with more legends in his life than maybe anyone who’s ever played at 1812 …sharing the stage with Jimmy Buffett, Willie Nelson, and many more, we are luck to get this kind of talent at the pub!
Steve Keith started doing gigs at nineteen; playing blues banjo for a year with the legendary Babe Stovall (AKA MR. BOJANGLES ) in New Orleans! Next, he joined The Last Mile Ramblers, playing at honkytonks throughout the Southwest. Then Jerry Jeff Walker and the Lost Gonzo Band of Austin, Texas in 1976, playing Outlaw Country one-nighters including WILLIE NELSON’S 4th of July Picnics where Steve played fiddle with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Leon Russell, and Jimmy Buffett.
Steve also played and recorded with Guy Clark and Jerry Jeff Walker, joining David Bromberg’s road band for a tour. Steve also played bluegrass banjo with the great Byron Berline on fiddle in the Mason Williams Concert for Bluegrass Band and Symphony Orchestra, which toured the USA.
“Some of the best that came out of those times was hanging out with such great songwriters as Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff, Billy Joe Shaver, and many others, staying up all night, drinking beers, taking turns playing the songs nobody heard yet.”
